<p>The corrugator is a machine that allows production of expansion joints.&nbsp; These joints are used for joining pipes.</p>



<p>The machine obtains joints by producing waves on a metal tube, each wave is created with the compression of a rubber, inside the tube, which induces localized expansion of the tube, the precision of the compression is possible by means of a servo-controlled piston. The working parameters for each type of joints are set on the machine computer, so they can be associated with a product code and stored.</p>

<p>This <strong>hotplate press</strong> is suitable for laboratory testing to determine the <strong>resin flow of carbon fiber-epoxy prepreg</strong> tape or sheet material. The flow of the resin is determined based on the decrease in the weight of the prepreg sheet at the end of the pressing.</p>
<p>The steel plates, between which the pressing takes place, are superficially hardened and contain the electrical resistors for heating up to 300°C of temperature. <strong>Thermoregulation</strong> is PID controlled (proportional-integrative-derivative) with autotuning/selftuning and with continuous surveying temperature displays.</p>
<p>It has a digital pressure gauge that instantly displays the pressure exerted with a precision of 1/10 bar.</p>

<p>Constituted by:</p>



<p><strong>&#8211; Structure</strong> formed by electrowelded and normalized sheet steel. Structure is embedded with hardened steel guideways for mobile plate sliding.</p>



<p>&#8211; <strong>Mobile plate</strong> fully guided on adjustable gibs with slide ways made of synthetic material, at the bottom are provided T-slots for attaching molds.</p>



<p>&#8211; <strong>Main cylinder, blank-holder and third action in the PCTE</strong>.</p>



<p>&#8211; <strong>Hydraulic system</strong> formed by a variable capacity pump in semi-closed circuit. This system allows to obtain high speed and braking in very short spaces.</p>



<p><strong>Possibility to vary the speed even in the working phase</strong>, acting on a potentiometer, without throttling the pipes and thus obtaining a saving of energy.</p>



<p><strong>Possibility to modulate different pressures during the work phase</strong>.</p>



<p><strong>Programming of the work cycle</strong> is on discretion of the operator.</p>

<p>The operator can change the piston stroke through two potentiometers on which can set the stroke value to be performed.</p>



<p>These presses are particularly suitable to <strong>straightening parts to circular shape or special sections</strong> and allow the operator to control the deformation to be set on the workpiece, based on the initial deformation existing in the part itself.</p>



<p>The presses allow to return to the set stroke positions with very close tolerances.</p>



<p>This characteristic allows the operator to perform, if necessary, several strokes without modifying the set value.</p>



<p>This avoids to swage on the workpiece an uncontrolled deformation, passing over the zero line of the part itself.</p>

<p>Our presses type PAP have the particularity to have the <strong>piston stroke fully controlled</strong>. The operator can change the piston stroke by means of two potentiometers which can set the stroke value to be performed.</p>



<p>Inside the base can be set <strong>cylinders that allow to lift the pieces to be straightened</strong> so as to make faster and easier the interposition of thicknesses and the removal of the pieces.</p>

<p>The test bench of <strong>TRANSMISSION PARTS</strong> consists of two DC motors, one for driving and the other for braking the testing element. On the motors shafts is placed instrumentation designed to detect the values of torque and speed at the entrance and the exit of the element tested, thus being able to obtain the efficiency.</p>



<p>The test bench was done in order to be used in <strong>three different modes</strong>:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>closed circuit</strong> (motor-brake) reducer &#8211; joints, etc.</li><li><strong>as a motor</strong> for pumps, brakes, etc..</li><li><strong>as brake</strong> for all types of engines, etc.</li></ul>



<p>Used in closed circuit our test bench works with power circulation: the energy is recovered from braking element, so as to require outside only the power dissipated in friction and losses of various kinds.</p>

<p>The test bench for rotary and transmission parts of the new Laboratories Center for Experimental Teaching of the Faculty of Engineering (Bovisa) was designed to be able to perform tests on transmission parts of various types (from joints to reducers, belts, chains, complete transmission) within the limits of the maximum installed capacity.</p>



<p>The main points of the project were therefore high flexibility of use, low power consumption (for long-term tests), the drive systems of the bench and measurement of mechanical quantities, data acquisition systems and tests management through PC are the latest generation technology</p>

<p>The structures are made of welded steel and normalized before machining, guide bearings are treated to be self-lubricating, stems and rods are made of chromed, or hardened, steel and rectified.</p>



<p>The hydraulic system is fully executed with high quality interchangeable valves according to ISO standards.</p>



<p>The version <strong>4MT</strong> provides a movable plan to allow the assembly of various molds, guided by four support columns which in this case are chromed or hardened and ground.</p>



<p>On request, can be supplied with <strong>stroke control with a potentiometer</strong>.</p>

The machine fits a metal cap (cloche) on the metal rods that have at the top a portion of rubber, after the insertion of the cap in the rubber portion, the cap is appropriately deformed to prevent its extraction.</p>



<p><strong>The machine ensures high productivity, because it works on more stations</strong> and in each one is performed an operation, from the positioning of the stem to the cap, to its insertion for deformation and finally the measurement, all occur simultaneously.</p>
